Ground Round Up: Week of February 12, 2007. Cheers!

February 20, 2007 – 12:00 am

I am days late and a week over due but I wanted to kick this out the door b/c I think were a lot of great posts last week.

The Ground Round Up is designed to be a weekly post to allow me to give thanks to those who have linked/mentioned to my blog, notice those individuals who have helped in my learning of search marketing, and any post that I found interesting/unique over the past week. In the same way the nation voted they would rather have a beer with George Bush rather than John Kerry, the idea of The Ground Round Up is to give “votes” to those people and posts which, in theory, I would like to have a beer.

Clark Bartram: Unintelligent Design is fast becoming a favorite blog of mine (in/outside the Medical world). While most of his posts are quite entertaining – any post that starts off with a reference to Mike Seaver & Boner from Growing Pains and ends with a debate on Atheism is gold in my book. Well work the read!

Jane Copland had a great post late in the day of Friday. Witty and poignant, I just love to see people digging into the Web 2.0 Ethos that has been created.

A little over a week ago CopyBlogger posted to Differentiate Your Blog or Die – a post that was particularly relevant for me. My blog is a pathetic piece of junk – I don’t think I am following any of the 25 optimization tips suggested by Jen Slegg which are but the basics (and god damn it, optimizing is my day job!!!) and I don’t have ANY unique character on my blog. The sad fact is that after working at Healthline for 10-12 hours a day followed by a healthy rush of contract work when I get home, I barely have time to sleep let alone differentiate by blog.

So maybe my blog should Die. That would be too bad because I really love blogging!

Cheers!
